Systems Administrator Manager - Singapore - STAMFORD TYRES INTERNATIONAL PTE LTD

Description

1. Provide, install, configure and maintain systems hardware and software and related infrastructure.

2. Ensures continuous updates and innovation in infrastructure.

3. Ensures smooth transition during initiation, planning, development and implementation stages of typical IT or IS project life-cycle.

Tasks

1. Creates system policies and security policies for the system.

2. Ensures system hardware, operating systems, software, and related MIS procedures adhere to Company policies and values.

3. Define benefits, user needs, research and development and provide support to users in executing, testing and rolling-out IT projects.

4. Participate and contributes to the setting of technical strategy, technical analysis and design and smoothing the transition of projects from development to production.

5. Perform daily monitoring and verifying integrity of all hardware, server resources and reviewing all systems and application logs and projects update.

6. Perform periodic security monitoring to detect security threats.

7. Perform daily backup.

8. Maintain user account access.

9. Investigate and troubleshoot issues.

10. Repair and recover from failures (which includes communication with affected users / vendors).

11. Apply OS and software patches and upgrades on a regular basis, and upgrade administrative tools and utilities.

12. Perform scripting to automate tasks.

13. Upgrade and configure system software's to support GUI interface.

14. Perform periodic performance reporting within the context of capacity and integrity assessment.

15. Provide standard hardware and software support throughout the Company.

Knowledge / skills

1. Degree holder, preferably in Computer Science or Engineering or MIS-related degree

2. Good grasp over various programming language.

3. System Administration / System Engineer certification in Microsoft.

4. Minimum 5 years experience in system administration function.

5. Experience with SQL, JDE and U8 is preferred.

6. Good communication skills with various levels of users, particularly in areas of troubleshooting.

7. Overseas travelling may be required.
