**Job Description: Business Development Manager

The Business Development Manager works in the area of health and well-being.

He/She should be qualified and trained to develop and manage the organisation's strategic initiatives, resource management, collaboration, and corporate governance to ensure operational effectivenss and efficiency.

He/She oversees strategic implementation, budgets the use of capital and human resources, develops professional development programmes, and initiates business relationships across agencies.

He/She also ensures operational and governance efficiency through supervision of a multi-disciplinary staff performance evaluation, and policy implementation.

He/She will be responsible for all stages of the marketing and sales cycle, including building new client relationships and growing and maintaining existing ones to achieve business growth set by the management team.


An experienced management staff who is passionate, meticulous, committed and possesses good problem-solving skills, the Manager works in institutional settings, enterprises communities, social service agencies and institutions.

He also works in collaboration with other agencies and ministries in the course of his work.

Critical Work Function

1) _Generate Sales and Build professional partnerships and collaborations. _

  • Generate sales and build professional partnerships across agencies to provide wellness services.
  • Identify, pursue and secure new business.
  • Participate in industry events and networking opportunities.
  • Organize sales activities and company events to raise awareness and gain sales leads.
2) _Maintain operational effectiveness and efficiency in line with strategic objectives. _

  • Build professional partnerships across agencies to provide wellbeing services.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of programmes and services for the centre.
  • Oversee development and implementation of operational strategies for the centre.
  • Support the communication of the centre's vision, values and mission within the team
  • Develop service standards, performance indicators and operating guidelines
  • Lead resolution of operational issues
  • Develop organisation workplan, in alignment with company goals
  • Implement changes to prioritise service areas
3) _Manage resources _

  • Monitor the use of resources
  • Provide recommendations for deployment of resources to fulfil organisation needs
  • Draft funding proposals for the delivery of services
4) _Develop organisational capability for service delivery _

  • Assess capability gaps within the team
  • Oversee implementation of professional development programmes for the team.
5) Uphold _corporate governance _

  • Conduct audits on service quality to ensure compliance with policies.
  • Implement governance policies and procedures for the centre
