Job Summary
Purpose of job


To liaise with both internal and external stakeholders including social service agencies, schools, corporates, grassroots and public organizations for outreach and volunteering activities and programmes.


Key Responsibility Areas

Volunteer Management:

  • Develop, coordinate, match and manage all aspects of the volunteer programmes at town level.
  • Work with the team and volunteers to drive recruitment efforts, organise outreach events and initiatives to promote volunteerism.
  • Explore, plan and manage all publicity efforts for volunteer recruitment and engagement initiatives and programmes.
  • Curate and organise training curriculum and framework for existing volunteers.

Stakeholders Management:

  • Organise networking sessions for the different partners and provide support in volunteer appreciation and recognition events.
  • Organise trainings/workshops for the community partners and volunteers to build capabilities.
  • Assist in managing roadshows for volunteer recruitment

Administrative and Operations:

  • Support all secretariat work, writing newsletters, compiling testimonials, publishing social media posts and preparing reports of the volunteer programmes to senior management, internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage resources and implement the volunteer programmes within set budgets, funding mechanisms and timelines.
  • Administrative duties such as manage and maintain the volunteer database system, data entry. Any other duties as assigned

Requirements:


Experience & Capabilities:

  • At least 12 years of working experience in Social Service sector would be an advantage.
  • Good to have some experience in volunteer management and social media marketing.
  • Good administrative, organisational and computer skills with proficiency in MS Office, Canva.
  • Ability to multitask and work well with a diverse group of professionals from the public and private sectors as well as volunteers and beneficiaries.
  • Passionate about volunteerism and serving the community.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma/ Degree Holder Relevant work experience in volunteer management and social service sector would be an advantage
