Technical Marketing Analyst - Singapore - VALE INTERNATIONAL SA SINGAPORE BRANCH

Description

• Discuss contractual technical specifications, penalty clauses and quality measurement mechanism together with sales managers.
• Improve pricing/reducing discounts of our products by identifying commercial opportunities through detailed knowledge of customers' modus operandi, supporting preparation of sales force approaches.
• Participate in technical discussions within the initiatives promoted by customer service solutions and sales teams.
• Provide inputs on Vale's product portfolio, working together with planning, commercial and marketing teams on definition of ideal quality specifications that balance Vale's resources versus customer expectations.
• Lead customer complaints management and be responsible for internal and external ISO certification audits.
• Carry out the treatment, critical analysis, and action plan of customer complaints, together with operational, supplychain and quality assurance areas.
• Follow "trial tests" in customers taking Vale's products for the first time or change the mix of products received.
• Monitor Vale's market share and its competitors to anticipate trends and strengthen competitiveness through analysis.
• Positively influence clients' satisfaction based on technical aspects like product quality and technical assistance.
• Monitor and manage services provided by inspection companies (surveyors) during discharge of Vale cargoes in Japan, Korea and SE Asian ports.
• Organize technical visits to customers, ports, universities, engineering companies, etc.
• Keep a reliable and updated database of customers' technical information.

• Five or more years of professional experience in ironmaking areas, like the usage of iron ore, and operation of sintering, pelletizing, and blast furnace.
• Graduate in Metallurgical, Chemical or Materials Engineering. Postgraduation is a plus.
• Experience in the use of iron ore in the steel industry with practical experience in mining, logistics and iron and steel making processes.
• Adaptability, teamwork, and enthusiasm to work independently in a matrix work environment.
• Solid interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficient in MS Office.
• Flexibility to travel is required.
