- General planning, scheduling and workload forecasting to optimize allocation of resources to fulfil all contractual requirements in due time including milestones & objectives.
- Preparation of Project Baseline Programme. Once issued, monitoring of Programme change and definition of Revise Baseline Programme based on change in external inputs.
- Leadership role in revised Planning strategy and construction of new Planning including implementation of new Method Statement, change in sequence, etc...)
- Management of Both External Planning (with Client) and Internal Planning (within the Consortium)
- Definition of realistic planning with close interaction with:
- Engineering Department (System Engineering team in Manila/France; Infra Engineering team in Bangalore, SIG/COM Engineering team in CRL/Bangalore)
- Procurement department
- Various Subsystems
- Civil Works Partner
- Testing and Commissioning department
- Interface with concerned internal organization for delivery of material/equipment according to schedule.
- Followup logistics and procurement of materials and supplies and tools.
- Work closely with Procurement Department for definition and monitoring of Material Control Schedule, together with Material Planner.
- Check and coordinate with consortium partners and subcontractors if any, for coherence of individual planning in regard to total project with the assistance of planning team members.
Project Implementation:
- To assist Project manager to manage and monitor all projects implementation activities.
- Support site team members in investigating and resolving field problems in coordination with customers, subcontractors, consortium partners.
- Anticipate and analyze delays and propose corrective action plans.
Construction Coordinator:
- Upon start of Project installation activities, coordinate various installation activities and site possessions to ensure optimized Construction progress
- Definition of TRIP (Track Related Installation Programme) and issuance of weekly update (4 weeks Programme)
- Organisation of TRIP meeting and management of work access based on priorities
Progress Monitoring:
- Monitor project progress physical progress for milestone and monthly progress payments.
- Analysis of workload, hours spent and site consumption
- Identify potential deviations and propose corrective plans/actions.
- Budget Follow up together with Subsystem Managers
Information & Reporting:
- Ensure succinct and systematic reporting as required to management. General monthly activity progress reports addressing all project/issues with updated project planning, workload forecasts and all required indicators
- Management of Alstom PMS monthly updates and consolidation for all units
- Communication with Client : Preparation of Monthly Report together with Contract department and Project team
- Communication with Management : Preparation of internal Monthly Report with support of various project stakeholders
- Communication with Project team: Ensure right level of information to the project team and various participating units
Customer Relations:
- Prepare and submit advance program schedule as required. General Minutes of Meeting of monthly progress meetings with customer, if relevant.
- To assist Project Manager to organize meetings with customer to discuss and resolve commercial issues if necessary.
- Maintain good working relationship with customers, managers and engineers.
- Provide customer care and ensure permanent customer satisfaction.
Commercial Support / Claim preparation:
- Work with Contract Department in defining claim strategy and building claim file
- Evaluation of Delay impact (delay impact analysis) and Extension of Time valuation
Knowledge & Experience
- Strong leadership
- Ability to meet deadlines and motivate others
- Able to defend a position and provide arguments
- Analytic and able to challenge peers
- Coordination and communication skills (oral + graphic)
- CW or Mechanical Engineer
- Experience in Turnkey / system Project
- 10 years' experience, 5 years in big Railway Projects
- Experience in Construction Management
- Work in multicultural team
