Description

To ensure the Hotel's credit management policy is in place and Standard Operation Procedure (SOP) is adhered to at all times (eg.

in approving and granting of credit facilities for new accounts; amounts due to the hotel is kept within the approved limit etc).

  • To be responsible for the hotel's credit collection.
  • To be responsible for the improvement of Accounts Receivablecredit Team efficiency (eg. collection cycle).
  • To monitor outstanding accounts so as to ensure that credit facilities and terms are not exceeded. To track guest ledger balances and accounts transferred to the city ledger. To prepare periodic reports on the updated status of collections for Management's review. To liaise with companies for payments to be made (where necessary), to ensure collections are received within the acceptable time frame. To resolve billing disputes with customers and follow up on overdue accounts (verbal and written methods). To institute legal action (where necessary) to recover outstanding debts.
  • To monitor and control Front Office pending account and ensure inhouse credit limit are adhered to at all times.
  • To check on invoice room rates to ensure rates charged are in accordance with the agreed rates.
  • To ensure proforma invoices are send to agents/corporate for prepayment.
