    Roles & Responsibilities

    MISSION

    The teacher's main mission is to provide students with knowledge, skills and attitudes in order to develop skills in the subject.

    RESPONSABILITIES

    • Teaching physics and chemistry and the physics-chemistry speciality in middle school and high school
    • Designing and implementing learning or teaching situations based on French programs and standards
    • Convey subject knowledge
    • Designing and implementing assessment methods of student's learnings, in liaison with other teachers or professional partners
    • Ensuring that students acquire skills including capability, good behaviour, and know-how, among others
    • Leading the class and foster students' interest and participation
    • Providing personalised monitoring of students by working closely with their family and participate in their educational project
    • Contributing to the school's operation and teamwork
    • Adapt his/her teaching to the diversity of students by providing each of them with the necessary support, and assess their achievements
    • Using educational softwares to support learning
    • Exercising of specific functions such as coordination, form teacher and others

    SKILLS,ABILITY AND REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

    • French Ministry of Education degree holder or equivalent
    • Deep understanding of the subjects and the curriculum
    • Experience in teaching in Middle and High school is preferable, especially in Première and Terminale
    • Knowledge of the French curriculum
    • Organisational and interpersonal skills
    • Responsiveness and availability
    • Adaptability and benevolence
    • Very good writing and speaking skills
    • Strong teamwork skills and committed to making projects successful
    • Mastery of digital tools and/or experience as a digital referent appreciated
    • Ability to adapt to French-speaking and non French-speaking students
    • Ability to provide instructions suited to a wide variety of students
    • Ability to work in a transversal and multidisciplinary way
    • Proficiency in English (B1 level and above) is appreciated for supporting bilingual students and families

    WORKING CONDITIONS

    • Full time (18 hours of teaching/week) position
    • Remuneration will be based on company salary scale
    • Starting date: End of August 2024
