_Main Responsibilities:
_
The job holder has defined teams of analysts, data scientists and data base managers reporting to them. The roles and deliverables of these teams fall into 3 main areas.

It is the job holders responsibility to ensure that each team is managed in a way that promotes the following:

Pricing & UW Analytics

• Enhance understanding of underwriting profitability, segmentation and pricing through structured, insightful actuarial analysis
• Develop new and iterate existing rating factors to ensure that DirectAsia remains the most sophisticated insurer in its markets
• Optimise the efficiency of the rating engine
• Monitor competitor activity and key pricing changes
• Implement consistent rating review and change processes alongside the IT team and local Underwriting functions
• Improve consistency and efficiency in the overall pricing cycle
• Maintain technical oversight of the new product Pricing Approval process for both existing and new products in conjunction with the Regional Group Product Approval process
• In conjunction with the Regional CUO review DirectAsia's Reinsurance Structures and liaising with External Reinsurers as and when required
• Special projects as assigned, including the development of plans for new products or new geographical expansion

Business Intelligence

• Lead the business insights team, helping the business draw out insights from our customer and operational data to assist the management teams to make appropriate business decisions
• Management of company databases ensuring that the quality and security of our data is maintained
• Manage ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes through SSIS
• Manage data warehouses and reports through SSAS and SSRS
• Enable the movement of reporting to Tableau away from Excel
• Develop, train, enhance and encourage end users to selfserve data by the use of Tableau enquiry for their business intelligence needs
• Supporting the EXCO and Leadership teams with reporting needs
• Developing and maintaining a suite of dashboards and automated reports which enables the business units to manage their responsibilities effectively and to assist in meeting their agreed Kpi's and deliverables.

Enterprise Data

• To identify and implement new uses of customer or business data to enable the company to meet its strategic development plans and budgets.
• To enquire, investigate and implement the use of third party data sets that can enhance the desired business outcomes and deliverables of the company
