- Attend field service calls within the Southeast Asia region
- Inspect, repair, and install gear drives and other transmission parts (i.e. planetary, mill drive, variator drives, marine drives, coupling etc.) at customer sites
- Drive direct interaction and coordination with customers' site personnel
- Troubleshoot errors and advise on corrective action
- Write customer facing reports
- Read and work from blueprints, parts lists, and assembly protocols
- Disassemble gear drives, inspect disassembled parts, write up and report failed parts, and advise on replacement parts.
- Create expense reports
- Diploma/Degree in Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 10 years of experience in power transmission, heavy equipment assembly, marine, or wind gearbox applications or 5 years of experience in field service operations
- Ideally possess gear box maintenance experience
- Possess ability to carry items up to 20 kg in weight, climb stairs and ladders generally up to 125 meters in height
- Experience in electrical, mechanical, hydraulic maintenance/troubleshooting
- Willing to travel occasionally within SEA
