Roles & Responsibilities

The Operations Officer will be reporting to the Team Account Manager (TAM) and is responsible for ensuring smooth declaration processes.

This post holder will facilitate documentation flows from customer, prepare these documents for permit declarations, conduct liaison with any regulatory bodies and to support any customer issues related to declarations.

Success will come from provision of timely and accurate permits to customers and displaying a positive work attitude when working in a team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Checking Permit Declaration drafts
  • Monitor the permit status for approval
  • Conditional permit submission
  • Submission of Manual / eForm Certificates
  • Submission on Net worked Trade Platform (NTP)
  • Refund Submissions and followup
  • Support HQ Ops/CS Team or On-Site Staff
  • Update internal team tracker
  • Application for courier of documents (if required)

Operations Management:

  • Prepare and check all related documents and information are correct and available for permit declaration.
  • To perform data entry in TradeNet System or ensuring smooth transition of customer information to TNETS own declaration software.
  • To closely monitor and followup with customer on their permit approval status.
  • To followup with post declaration activities in the event of discrepancies or refund situations.
  • Advice immediate superior of any irregularities discovered within the assigned transactions.
  • To assist immediate superior in all aspects of day to day operations.


  • Complete Customs Competency Test
  • SC401 (Preferable)
  • Ability to work and contribute well in a motivated team.
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced environment with keen attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Word, Powerpoint, Excel.
  • Possess strong problemsolving skills to identify and resolve operational issues and roadblocks that may impact the organization's operations.
  • Relevant experience in permit declaration and liaison with the relevant authorities. (Preferable)
  • Proven previous experience in the logistics/supply chain/customs declaration/trade compliance industries. (Preferable)
