About our group:

Engineering Analysis Group is part of the Research and Development facilities located in Shugart building to support all HDD and some non-HDD failure analysis activities.

The function of the group includes performing components level and drive level failure analysis for parts that failed different designed reliability or functional tests, etc.

to help in improving the product yield and quality performance.

About the role - you will:

Applies advanced knowledge of Electrical Engineering principles and methodologies to integrate new technologies in the disk drive hardware, drive firmware and the factory test process to ensure successful execution in all phases of product development.
Performs bench level tests and data analysis to understand and resolve disk drive failures.
Frequent interaction with design engineering functions, controller firmware, test process engineering, product teams and volume manufacturing sites.
Excellent problemsolving skills and working in a team environment.
Assists with technology integration spanning engineering model through volume launch.
Understanding and debug of all disk drive sub systems including: servo, mechanical, read / write, electronics, controller firmware and factory test process.

About you:

Effective team player and good interpersonal skill to work within and with other related departments in Seagate or suppliers, etc.

Strong commitment and meticulous personality. Self-motivated, independent and a team player with strong analytical skills. Able to resolve a wide range of issues in creative ways.

Your experience includes:

Job requires at least a degree (Bachelor or Masters) in Physics or Electrical Engineering. 10 years and above experience in HDD drive experience.
