    Roles & Responsibilities

    As the Managing Director of our seafood retail business, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our operations, driving growth, and ensuring the continued success of the company. Reporting directly to the Board of Directors, you will provide strategic leadership and direction while fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and innovation within the organization.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Strategic Leadership:Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve business objectives and drive growth in revenue and profitability.
      Identify new market opportunities, emerging trends, and potential risks to inform decision-making processes.
      Lead market research initiatives to assess consumer preferences, competitor activities, and industry dynamics.
    2. Operational Management:Oversee day-to-day operations, including supply chain management, procurement, production, distribution, and retail activities.
      Ensure efficient utilization of resources, optimization of processes, and adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements.
      Implement best practices for inventory management, cost control, and operational efficiency.
    3. Sales and Marketing:Develop and implement sales and marketing strategies to expand market reach, acquire new customers, and enhance brand awareness.
      Collaborate with marketing teams to create compelling promotional campaigns, product launches, and customer engagement initiatives.
      Establish partnerships with key stakeholders, suppliers, distributors, and retail partners to drive sales growth and market penetration.
    4. Financial Management:Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes to achieve revenue targets and profitability goals.
      Monitor financial performance metrics, analyze variances, and implement corrective actions as needed.
      Evaluate investment opportunities, mergers, acquisitions, and strategic partnerships to support business expansion and diversification.
    5. Talent Management:Recruit, develop, and retain top talent by fostering a culture of performance excellence, learning, and professional development.
      Provide leadership and mentorship to senior management team members, empowering them to drive results and achieve organizational goals.
      Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion within the workplace, ensuring equal opportunities for all employees.
    • Proven experience (5 years) in executive leadership roles within the seafood industry or related retail sector.
    • Strong understanding of seafood supply chain dynamics, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
    • Demonstrated track record of driving business growth, managing complex operations, and delivering results in a competitive market environment.
    • Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
    • Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make informed decisions.
    • Commitment to sustainability, ethical business practices, and corporate social responsibility.
