Description

The Position:

• Support supply chain projects, and business contingency projects; duties include planning and execution of lab trials
• Responsible for managing inventory and keeping sufficient stock of raw materials, ingredients, lab consumables and packaging materials across the natural center
• Ensure lab equipment are calibrated, maintained and in operational status
• Maintain lab equipment including liaison with suppliers and internal departments for repair and servicing
• Assist team in preparation of sensory validations, and general lab work
• Assist with disposal of waste materials, chemicals and raw materials safely according to internal EHS guidelines
• Assist with collection of parcels, packing & arrangement of samples for despatch
• Assist in basic testing of products, e.g. pH, brix etc
• Undertake any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by manager
• Experience in oil lab product testing and development
• Report to plant manager

The Ideal Candidate:

• Bachelor degree in Applied Science, Chemistry or its equivalent
• At least 5 years of experience will be preferred
• Be a safety advocate for yourself and the team
• Knowledge and handling of chemicals will be advantageous
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suites especially Excel
• Good communication skills
• Meticulous and detailed-oriented
• Able and willing to work bi weekly graveyard shift
