Description

The Diver is responsible for carrying out Diving & Underwater services as per client's needs.

Works below surface of water, using scuba gear or in diving suit with airline extending to surface to inspect, repair, remove, and install equipment and structures:
Perform services like hull cleaning, loss anchor search, bow thruster cleaning and polishing, Side sonar scan and recovery, Propeller polishing, Sea chest cleaning, Hydrographic surveys,tug Inspections, maintenance & salvage in water removal of wire chain and line from running gear.
Inspects docks, bottoms and propellers of ships.
Lays, inspects, and repairs underwater pipelines, cables, and sewers, using hand tools.
Removes launching cradles and sliding ways from keels of newly launched vessels, using power and hand tools.
Carry out nondestructive testing such as tests for cracks on the legs of oil rigs at sea
Check and maintain diving equipment such as helmets, masks, air tanks, harnesses and gauges.
Communicate with workers on the surface while underwater, using signal lines or telephones.
Cut and weld steel, using underwater welding equipment, jigs, and supports.
Descend into water with the aid of diver helpers, using scuba gear or diving suits.
Install, inspect, clean, and repair piping and valves.
Obtain information about diving tasks and environmental conditions.
Take appropriate safety precautions, such as monitoring dive lengths and depths, and registering with authorities before diving expeditions begin.
Take test samples and photographs to assess the condition of vessels and structures.
Prepare diving reports with necessary photographs & submit to clients.
