    Roles & Responsibilities

    JOB PURPOSE:

    To provide shore-based support to vessels under his/her charge in terms of technical matters.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Overall in charge of vessel operational expenses covering repairs, maintenance and other survey/certification requirements
    • Overall in charge in ensuring the vessel under his/her care is fully fit and seaworthy to trade as required
    • Overall in charge of ensuring vessel complies with all class, statutory requirements and regulations. This includes all vessel trading certificates
    • Overall in charge in ensuring the vessel complies with charterer/client requirements
    • Prepares yearly budget requirements for each vessel under his/her care, submits for approvals and revisions
    • Monitors and manage vessel Planned Maintenance follow-up accordingly in liaison with Chief Engineers and Chief Officers
    • The maintenance of the vessels in all areas includes; Attendance to ship repair, major refitting, docking and ship surveys. Liaison with technical service providers, ensuring that timely service is provided and Plans for classification and statutory surveys/audits of vessels
    • Analyze and provide feedback on technical matters
    • Co-ordinates and monitors the performance of vessels within the area of responsibilities and all activities impacting on operations of vessels and the Company
    • Conduct onboard technical review/vessel inspections at least once every 6 months, provide reports to management and follow up on the corrective actions.

    JOB SPECIFICATION:

    • At least 3 years of experience in marine-related industry with Sufficient expose of technical superintendent task
    • Diploma/Degree in Marine Egnineering or equivalent preferably
    • Preferably with experience in Offshore Support Vessel Industry
    • Must be willing to travel and visit ships around the Southeast East Asia (SEA) Region
    • Ability to converse in Bahasa-Malay would be an advantage as would need to liase with Indonesia Crew
