Description

The Asia Core Compensation team leads key initiatives across the region focusing on non-business aligned compensation including Regulatory and Exec compensation as well as managing the Year end Incentive Compensation (IC) delivery process with a focus on centralization and process enhancements.

Also provide support to Line of Business Compensation Manager on various compensation related activities.


In this role you will be expected to perform a variety of activities including but not limited to: implementing new compensation practices and processes, counsel to Human Resources (HR) colleagues and line managers regarding compensation practices, conducting compensation surveys, analyzing and reporting on various compensation elements and administering/coordinating annual and non-annual compensation planning and delivery activities.

In addition the role will assist with year-end reporting requirements and market data analysis as required.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Trusted advisor on practices and policies for HR colleagues and lines of business, with a strong focus on compensation administration
  • Participate in compensation surveys: job matching, data submission and independent analysis of benchmarking data to support compensation strategy.
  • Partner with global and regional colleagues to manage projects involving compensation, including but not limited to policy reviews, changes in compensation practices, and systems development
  • Simplifying and improving the way we do things with fresh ideas, design iteration and implementation to ensure our compensation programs, policies and processes align with business strategy, best practice and our risk and controls framework
  • Provide annual compensation planning support during the yearend process via analytics, modeling and reporting
  • Contributing to the APAC Compensation Agenda including regulatory and regionspecific compensation activities
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year HR/Compensation or Finance experience, with strong analytical, critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to convey a story through analysis and metrics
  • Strong technical knowledge and experience working with Excel and PowerPoint is critical
  • Prior experience of HR systems, experience with business intelligence and reporting tools such as Business Objects would be an advantage
  • We're a global company whose primary business language is English and so fluency in English is required
  • Certification from Singapore's Institute of Human Resource Professionals would be an advantage for this role
