Duties and Responsibilities

Samples Receiving & Preparation

• Receive samples from clients and check against the request form:

Quantity,

Test standards,

Contact person,

Bill party & company details

Check the request form details is complete

Acknowledgment receipt to client

Samples Testing & Reports (Laboratories & Site)

• Setup of appropriate testing equipment and environment
• Conduct the test according to test standards and or SOP
• Observe and record the test results, and take actions where needed:
• Prepare official test report for checking and endorsement
• Schedule for Inter-Lab / Proficiency test program
• Ensure SAC SINGLAS accreditation is successful
• Monitor, track and close any non-compliance cases
• Review and update the test standard to the latest version (e.g., yearly)

Equipment and Work Area Mantenance

• Schedule and send Lab equipment/machine for calibration
• Maintenance schedule for the macine and equipment
• Liaise with vendors for repairing of macine/equipment

Job Competencies / Job Requirements

Technical Competencies:

• Experience and competence knowledge in relevant engineering discipline
• Knowledge of SINGLAS requirements and understand relevant test standards/specifications
• Good command of English
• Knowledge in office software applications (e.g., excel, words, etc)
• Familiar with SINGLAS requirements and interpret relelvant test standards/specifications

Task-Related Competencies:

• Know, understand and comply with the test standards
• Able to review and analyse test results
• Knowledge of the products and services offered by the Company; such as, what they are, market demand-and-supply dynamics, sustainability standards and the Company's competitiveness in each of them
• Possess sense of urgency and dedication to work and adaptation to changes
