    In Asia Pacific, we have operations in China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Japan, South Korea, Indian, Singapore, the ASEAN states as well as Australia and New Zealand. We have over 300 active treaties with over 150 clients spread over 20 countries in Asia.

    We are looking for a Senior APAC Pricing Actuary - Reporting to Head of Business Acceptance (BA) APAC, this person would work with a small but very experienced APAC BA pricing team to drive the implementation of SCOR's global pricing methodology in designated markets, with focus to South Asia; to enhance SCOR's pricing capability to support a sustainable and profitable growth in Asia.

    Key duties and responsibilities

    Main Scope
    • To review and support the development of pricing basis that conforms with SCOR Global Life pricing guidelines in designated markets;
    • To help designated markets to develop reinsurance solutions and review quotations to client on a timely basis;
    • Working with Knowledge team to conduct research into new risks, support product development and innovation in designated countries;
    • Working with internal model team to validate a capital model that fits into APAC long term structure
    • Work with various stakeholders to gain deeper understanding of the business performance to support inforce management
    • Develop and enhance existing pricing models and tools reflecting legal entity and retrocession strategies
    • Contribute to management meetings/reporting and other global projects
    Relationships
    • Work closely with Knowledge team on R&D projects supports understanding new and evolving risks
    • Work closely with global and Knowledge team on LIM projects driving the development of a capital methodology for long term risks.
    • Work closely with local pricing actuaries to review & support the development and update of pricing BE
    • Work closely with Inforce team to understand how business perform and feedback into pricing.
    • Maintain interaction with other departments across SCOR in order to contribute to multi-function projects
    Qualifications

    Experience:
    • Qualified Actuary
    • At least 10 years of relevant working experience in protection product in Asia or international markets
    • Capable to lead and implement projects across multi markets
    • Good working knowledge of Prophet or Actuarial modelling software preferred
