Job Purpose

This role is responsible to drive the execution of operational strategies consistently across all Asian regions covering all LOBS with the goals of optimizing business processes, ensuring capability and efficiency.

Critically the role will ensure process standardization where appropriate and continuous improvement of cost to serve. Implementing operational discipline will be a key outcome.


In working with the leadership in Asia and key functional stakeholders, this role will continuously identify opportunities, consolidate, and implement these to improve the operational products and services in Asia to increase APLL's competitiveness.


Roles & Responsibilities

Functional

OMS Product Development, Compliance & Enhancements

  • In collaboration with Global Product, enhance the OMS product and process to create new value, increase efficiency and lower cost. Support the requirements development and lead the deployment process.
  • Manage the OMS product scope. With the Process Management teams define the operations process to ensure consistency of product delivery. In collaboration with regions ensure compliance to scope, avoid scope creep that is not approved.
  • Manage ASIA OMS Tariff; work with region and process management to ensure tariff is relevant to market, is updated, and implemented. Exceptions to tariff pricing will require Commercial and operational leadership approvals.
  • Provide commercial support to global and Asian teams to understand competitive landscape, support in the development and enhancement of Asian collaterals with the intention of keeping our Asian product fresh, relevant, and competitive.

Process Engineering & Performance Management

  • Manage, reengineer, and enhance operations processes for all LOB's, ensuring standardization as appropriate, stability and capability versus market demands.
  • Ensure strict compliance to process standards to ensure service texture consistency. This includes the development of an operational organization which will support our standard process.
  • Continuously enhance processes to meet business and efficiency requirements. This includes performing adhoc reviews and audits of standard operating procedures to streamline and automate operations.
  • Deployment of relevant operational KPI's that ensures high level of service delivery. Work with regional and key account owners to define Service level commitments that is clearly linked to our cost to serve. Any exceptions will need commercial and operational leadership approvals to ensure relevant are costs or approved.

Operations Excellence and Managing Cost to Serve

  • Organize the appointed region's operations standards and approach to drive and achieve cost to serve targets, compliance standards.
  • With Regional Leadership, measure use of resources and ensure high levels of productivity to lower cost.
  • Drive unit metrics mindset and measure outputs consistently to power cost improvement. Develop and prepare regular statistical reports and monitoring tools on project operation performance performance reports, productivity reports, costing reports etc.
  • Determine operational metrics by studying business models; gathering information; evaluating output requirements and formats
  • Review and interpret operational data to identify operational issues and provide solutions which optimise service levels, efficiency, and overall process flows.
  • Coordinate the Continuous Improvement activities to provide broader business benefits and a centralised focus whilst establishing a common reporting methodology.

Solutions Engineering and Commercial Support

  • Support the logistics and solutions engineering requirements of commercial pursuit which includes the integration of physical, information and document solutions relevant to complex pursuits.
  • Work with other stakeholders on new business & innovation activities to support new service development to enable an aligned approach.

Implementation of Internal and External Initiatives

  • Deploy a structured approach to ensure seamless and timely implementation of internal and external projects on time and on target. Define new rollout requirements by identifying project milestones, phases, and elements.
  • With Key stakeholders ensure the implementation of initiatives on time, target and on budget. Intervene as necessary and design and execute an Executive communication process to ensure visibility and relevant mediation as necessary.
  • Create an implementation organization to meet business requirements. This will include the practical collaboration process of the Asia and Sub regional organizations

Leadership

  • Engage Commercial, Regional Leadership Teams, Functional Leads, and external stakeholders to effectively to carry out above responsibilities.
