Minimum Qualifications for the Manager Full Management Accounts:

  • Attainment of a university degree and/or a Professional Accountancy qualification.
  • A minimum of 5 (five) years of experience in a ship management company or a comparable position.
  • Profound knowledge of vessel accounting.
  • Proficiency in Excel.
  • Strong leadership, managerial, and communication skills, coupled with the ability to collaborate within a team.

Responsibilities of the Manager Full Management Accounts:

  • Directing and supervising a team of accountants handling vessel accounts.
  • Oversight of the Accounts Payable (AP) team responsible for vessel payments.
  • Timely review and submission of Financial Statements to various owners.
  • Analysis of the financial position of vessels, monitoring cash flow requirements, and early identification of financing needs.
  • Ensuring regular review and timely collection of receivables.
  • Leading the identification of client accounting requirements, addressing any gaps, and developing pertinent processes or tools to meet client expectations.
  • Compilation of scheduled reports for Full Management vessels for owners, in coordination with the Commercial Manager.
  • Timely processing of supplier invoices and payments, and diligent followup on debtors and creditors settlements.
  • Approval of payments, meticulous bank reconciliation, and verification of the completeness and accuracy of daily bank reports.
  • Comprehensive familiarity with the Company's Management System.
  • Execution of special tasks and projects assigned by the Accounts Manager.
