The Institutional domain delivers full end-to-end world class products and services to our global Institutional, Corporate and Commercial and Retail customers across Asia.

It incorporates capabilities across areas of Investment Banking, Trading and Sales, Cash Management, Wholesale Lending and Trade Finance and with a single view of a customer to better integrate business and technology in creating a seamless customer experience.


This roles' main purpose is to provide services to the Pricing, Derivatives and Operations businesses within the Institutional bank to enable best of breed technology capabilities to be delivered for Institutional customers.

Our engineers design, build, test and support solutions and underlying bank platforms. They partner with other squad members to ensure deliveries meet customer expectations. Engineers also promote a tech development culture at ANZ.

ANZ Singapore - Working from the ANZ workplace 2-3 days a week

What will your day look like

  • Engages with Quants and Business teams at early stage to plan and prepare the correct coverage of tests to validate new
- developments for the Sky platform, ANZ in-house risk and pricing system

  • Builds automated tests to validate those new developments and enhances the automation testing framework
  • Leads projects or a large BAU change agenda, w orks in collaborative teams to build innovative solutions around both MUREX and SKY platforms
  • Builds a network of strong relationships and influencing key stakeholders
  • Engages with others to gain buyin and act as an advocate for continuous improvement
  • Proactively identifies, support and drive opportunities for change
  • Utilises tools and practices to build, verify and deploy solutions in the most efficient ways, enhancing tech division capabilities
  • Implements a culture within the Tribe and the Chapter, encouraging best practices around reviews, quality and documentation

What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in the role, you will ideally bring the following:

  • Deep expertise on at least one core product area (FXO, IRD, FXMM, Credit or Commodities)
  • Strong knowledge of at least one Trading and Risk Management platform (MUREX preferred) and good understanding of a distributed architecture
  • Proven experience in a similar role involving Front Office support and interaction with business stakeholders
  • Ability to adapt and grasp new skills and content
  • Proven analytical skills and evidencebased decision making
  • Ability to ask for and give feedback
  • Proven ability to innovate and adapt to latest development in area of expertise
  • Programming and scripting fundamentals
  • Python, Javascript, SQL
