Role Summary


As a Maintenance & Engineering (M&E) Technician, you will be responsible for the day-to-day upkeep of plant equipment and facilities and continuously support the improvement of maintenance and repair works for optimal operations.


What you will do
As an M&E Technician, your tasks may include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Perform or manage preventive maintenance and repair of plant equipment and facilities.
  • Ensure timely and effective repairs of breakdowns in equipment and facilities with minimum downtime.
  • Familiar with all equipment and facilities in the plants
  • Maintain all M&E records and documentation.
  • Interface with contractors and suppliers
  • Manage inhouse contractors on M&E works.
  • Work with operations and warehouses to improve and enhance facilities in terms of operating efficiency and safety.
  • Assist in the execution of small facility projects in the plants.
  • Take up any other M&Erelated issues as assigned by the supervisor.
  • Ensure a safe working environment with zero accidents.
  • Ensure contractors adhere to established standard maintenance procedures and Job Loss Analysis (JLA).
  • Participate in safety surveys (e.g., Industrial Health survey etc.) as required by management to follow up on recommendations or action items for gap closure.
  • Ensure that all waste materials are disposed of in compliance with Government Regulations and the Company's Environmental Policy.
  • Ensure all measuring equipment is calibrated timely and in accordance with Hydrocarbon Control Practices (HCP) requirements

About you

Skills and Qualifications

  • The ideal attributes and credentials you should possess are
  • Minimum GCE 'O' Level or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
  • A diploma holder must have at least one year of experience, while someone with an "O" level must have three years of experience
  • Possess understanding of electrical and mechanical principles and have firsthand familiarity with plant operating systems and equipment
  • Basic skills in the management of contractors will be an added advantage
