My client is a well-established Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) provider known for their contract manufacturing services of high-mix-low-volume projects.

They are now looking for a qualified Purchasing Manager responsible for both Direct and Indirect purchasing.

Responsibilities:

Develop strategic plans for the purchasing function.

Contributes to deliver bottom line/top line results, managing own spend/projects according to long term planning and upfront targets defined.

Conducts periodic risk assessment, designing and managing adequate countermeasures for selected spend.

To review with vendors on quality issues and ensure corrective and preventive actions are taken by vendors.

Review & plan purchasing order through collecting related customer inquiries from Sales on specification and lead time as well as sourcing suppliers, networking, market information and negotiation.

Prepare cost estimates, tender, contracts and price finalizing for project tender submission.

Procurement of material and negotiation with suppliers, ensuring price is always competitive and landed cost evaluation is performed.

Evaluate prices and suppliers and make selection recommendation to project and stakeholders.

BOM and material planning to ensure smooth delivery at min. inventory level.

Requirements:

Min years of experience in Purchasing / Procurement functions within the EMS / Contract Manufacturing / High-Mix-Low volume / Manufacturing industry.

Knowledge and background in Electric-Mechanics / Cable Assembly / Connectors / Wire Harness / PCBA would be preferred.

PO, BOM & Supplier Management experience is a must.

Strong Project management, change management and leadership skills.

Capability to evaluate and mitigate risks in the planning process.

Proven negotiation skills in dealing with customers and internal challenges

Base salary ranges from $5,000 - $8,000/month, based on experiences.
