Description

This role is part of the Digital Technology Services (DTS) team that is pivotal to The Hour Glass organizational transformation towards technological and digital leadership within the specialty watch retail sector.

The Data Manager will be responsible for leading data analysis initiatives, managing projects, and overseeing the development of reports and dashboards.

This incumbent will utilize own extensive experience in data warehousing, business intelligence tools, and team management to drive data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Key ResponsibilitiesLead and mentor a talented team of data analysts and developers, fostering their professional growth.
Develop and maintain impactful reports, dashboards, and data visualizations that empower stakeholders to make data-driven decisions.
Own the entire data analysis project lifecycle, from gathering requirements to implementation and ongoing evaluation.
Champion data quality and integrity through best practices and quality assurance processes.
Partner with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into technical requirements and actionable insights.
Leverage own expertise to optimize data processes and workflows for efficiency and scalability.

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced data leader who thrives in a collaborative environment with:
–A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (an advanced degree is a plus).At least 10 years of experience in data analysis, with a proven track record of leading teams and projects.
Mastery of BI tools like QlikSense (on-premises/cloud), along with experience with data warehousing platforms like Snowflake. Experience in Tableau and Power BI is a plus.
The ability to craft compelling and insightful dashboards and reports using data visualization tools.
Confidence in SQL and R for data manipulation, model building, and in-depth analysis.
A solid understanding of data modeling concepts, including relational databases, star schemas, and data cubes.

Experience in translating business needs into actionable data insights, with a grasp of functional areas like finance, customer relations, sales, and logistics.

Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire your team.
A strong analytical mindset with a keen eye for detail and a knack for problem-solving.
The adaptability and flexibility to navigate changing priorities and business needs.
Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to bridge the gap between technical concepts and non-technical audiences.
