Job Scope

  • Understand the local volunteering landscape, identify gaps and opportunities, coordinate and collaborate with community partners to meet local needs through sustainable and effective partnerships.
  • Engage local stakeholders such as grassroots, schools, corporates, social service agencies, community groups, and public agencies for outreach and matching of volunteering needs and opportunities.
  • Develop strategy and operationalise plans to market partners' programmes and volunteering opportunities of community partners to volunteer groups.
  • Follow up on volunteers' enquires and match volunteers to community partners in need of volunteers.
  • Share and promote effective volunteer management practices including recruitment, training, deployment, reward, retention and recognition with community partners.
  • Manage and maintain records of volunteer groups, partnerships and initiatives as well as other administrative documentations to build a repository of community resources within the town.

Requirements:


  • Good stakeholder management skills and proactive in engaging diverse stakeholders from the public, private and people sectors, including volunteers and residents.
  • Experience in volunteer management and people management skills (is a plus)
  • Experience in working with community groups (would be helpful)
  • Good organisational skills
  • Strong written, communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Good administrative and computer skills with proficiency in MS Office.
  • Good ability to work as a team player.
  • Selfmotivated, pleasant and resourceful.
