Description

CMA Ships is also a team of experts responsible for implementing innovative solutions and making CMA CGM vessels more energy efficient.

Key Responsibilities

Manage the training of the company's seafarers in accordance with Client Training Matrix and coordinate with training centers

Conduct vetting / visit of potential and existing training centers/suppliers.


To conduct interviews for recruitment of Engine / Deck Seafarers and validate the trainers and improve their skills where appropriate.

Analyze CES results and subsequent action plans to close gaps

Supervise Competence Management System and follow up with action plan.

Implement Ship Manager's Cadet program according to CMA Ships Singapore's requirements.


Act as a local cadet training coordinator and assist with preparation of the annual training budget for CMA Ships Singapore.

Handle global crew career development strategy, including managing the promotion plan / schedule and the possible pipeline to ensure there is sufficient qualified crew in the pool in order to meet the demand


Establish and follow a process which ensures Senior Officers are assessed and (if necessary) approved by the Client in time.

Monitor the KPIs, trends, data analysis and prepare respective weekly, monthly, or quarterly reports which would reflect the status.

Work closely with Crewing Operations to ensure a sufficient supply of qualified crew in the pool.

Assist the Company's management by providing ad hoc data analysis / reports / presentations.

Minimum Qualifications

Ideally engineer or Chief officer Certificate of Competency and below

Seafaring experience

Bachelor's degree (or CoC), preferably in business or maritime related discipline

Sufficient knowledge of mandatory STCW certification and Flag States' requirements

Proper command of English, both written and spoken

Experience

3 years of the relevant experience

Supervisory role experience would be an advantage

Experience in the shipping industry as a seafarer would be an advantage

**This role is opened for local employment only.
