Purpose of the Role:

According to statistics, 1 in 4 Singaporeans die of cancer each year. Hence, public education on cancer prevention strategies and cancer screening is vital.

Reporting to the Manager, you will be in charge of specific cancer awareness campaigns to promote upstream cancer prevention, community outreach, youth engagement projects and to work on ad-hoc projects when required.


Key Responsibilities:

1. 'Know Cancer to Beat Cancer' Campaign

  • Assist in managing the backend workflow of receiving, answering and posting questions and answers to the campaign microsite
  • Curate and create content for marketing, publicity and outreach especially over social media and other digital channels
  • Execute concepts through various platforms such as media and publicity media buy, collaterals, video production
  • Digital media buy and activities
  • Organise virtual and ground activities webinars, forums, talks, exhibitions and roadshows
  • Work with external and internal stakeholders to seek sponsorships and collaboration
  • Youth and Schools Engagement
  • Build long term relationship with educational institutions
  • Promote cancer awareness and advocacy among students through direct outreach as well as via student projects eg. Interschool competition
  • Strategize on how we can engage youths to Influence and increase their understanding on cancer and give back to the society
  • Conceptualise and plan youth programmes
  • Engage and work with relevant stakeholders to reach out to youths Support to coordinate and organize virtual school talks (Preschools, Primary, Secondary)
  • Community Outreach
  • Build longterm relationships with strategic partners
  • Conceptualise and plan outreach programmes to targeted groups Plan and execute events
  • Others
  • Annual report write up for the campaigns
  • Work with partners to solicit for funding support and collaboration
  • Help to answer phone calls for events registrations and taking other queries
  • Assist in department events and activities

Qualifications and Experience

  • Degree, preferably in Marketing & Communications or Health promotion/ Healthcare management
  • 23 years of relevant experience
  • Able to work in a fast paced environment and on weekday evenings/ weekends
  • Team player who can work with people from different backgrounds
  • Able to build rapport with a variety of stakeholders. Understand how their work contributes to the overall mission of the organisation
