What the role is

  • The Operations Planning (OP) division under Social Support Group (SSP) develops the operations policy for ComCare schemes and MSFfunded social services for lowerincome or vulnerable individuals and families (including the homeless, the destitute, the elderly). It also provides support to Social Service Agencies in managing complex cases, particularly those with Systems Issues i.e., families or individuals who are unable to meet the criteria of government assistance schemes. In addition, it helps SSP for manpower & capability development as well as risk management.

What you will be working on

  • You will be part of the team that oversees the capability building efforts for both SSP staff as well as befrienders volunteering with the Social Service Offices, to enable them to perform their functions effectively.
  • Assess or support the team in assessing capability development needs for SSP staff, primarily for those at the Social Service Offices (SSOs), including the development of competency frameworks, training roadmaps and learning materials
  • Assess or support the team in assessing capability development needs for SSO volunteers to be able to deliver MSF's strategic objectives; conceptualise, plan and implement these trainings for them.
  • Curate and review training content and materials to ensure relevance and effectiveness
  • Organise internal induction/milestone trainings and learning platforms for SSP staff and evaluate their effectiveness through feedback surveys and engagements
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to arrange learning opportunities within and outside of MSF for greater exposure for SSP staff
  • Curate and procure external trainings which meet SSP's capability needs
  • Plan, review and monitor the training administration process workflows to ensure accuracy and robustness of training records
  • Provide consultation to SSP divisions on training matters

What we are looking for

  • A degree holder with at least 2 years of working experience, preferably in a social service sector with good understanding of the social service landscape.
  • Relevant experience in trainingrelated work, and/or Advanced Certification in Training and Assessment (ACTA) or a Diploma in Adult and Continuing Education (DACE) will be an added advantage.
  • Strong analytical and interpersonal skills, with the ability to write and communicate clearly.
  • Able to work independently or with different teams, and the ability to engage and collaborate with different stakeholders
  • Meticulous in managing project timelines and operational matters
  • Resourceful and takes initiative to look out for opportunities to make improvements and developing creative solutions
