Description

Ø Fully independently manage all engineering activities in Piping Material Design scope of work as a leader of Piping Material Design team.

Ø Establish the activity schedule in Piping Material Design to meet and achieve Project Key Milestones. Control all activities in Piping Material Design and Procurement Work on schedule.

Ø Design piping components including following strength calculation properly according to ITB/Owner's requirement/Licensor's specification/applicable Code & Standard.

  • Internal/External Pressure
  • Underground Piping
  • Duct
  • Miter/Branch
  • Blanks/Cap
Ø Select proper piping material and generate Piping Material Specification according to ITB/Owner's requirement/Licensor's specification/applicable Code & Standard.

Ø Design Hot/Cold insulation properly according to ITB/Owner's requirement/ applicable Code & Standard.

Ø Make Procurement Plan piping material with consideration of following aspects.

Ø Suitable assignment of piping commodity to possible vendor for supplier selection

Ø Price level of entire piping components, including test and inspection fee. Estimate relevant cost for design changes with considerable accuracy.


Ø Estimate manufacturing time and delivery to match Project overall schedule, adjusting with entire EPC activities including relevant disciplines activities.

Ø Prepare appropriate purchase specification according to ITB /Owner's requirement and applicable Code & Standard, such as followings.

Ø Datasheet covering required information such as material selection, process condition, and geometric requirement

Ø Inspection and test requirements for each piping component and /or trouble shooting

Ø Marking and Painting requirement

Ø Evaluation and qualification of valve vendors by executing vendor shop survey in view of followings.

Ø Design Calculations and Design Software and analysis applied by Vendor.

Ø Manufacturing process

Ø Quality Control such as NCR control process

Ø Foundry:
Melting Control, Chemical Control.

Ø Test facilities:
Applicable Test Type

Ø Prepare specification for stress analysis. Execute optimized piping system design involving nozzle allowable force & moment requirement.

Ø Execute thermal stress analysis, two phase flow analysis, and pulsating vibration analysis. Be able to reflect countermeasure into design.

Ø Utilize following engineering tools and well recognize those system configurations and functions.

Ø Intergraph Smart 3D for 3D Modeling

Ø Intergraph Smart Review for 3D Model Review

Ø Intergraph Smart P&ID for correlation with Intergraph Smart 3D

Ø Intergraph Smart Materials for piping material data processing and procurement

Ø Navisworks Manage and/or Navisworks Simulate for 3D Model Review

Ø AUTODESK AutoCAD for 2D Drafting

Ø HEXAGON CAESER II for piping stress analysis

Ø Have deep understanding and applied experience for following international code and standards into the design:

Ø ASME Design Codes:
Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code (BPVC) Section II/VIII/IX, B31.1, B31.3, B31.4, B31.8

Ø ASME Codes related to

Piping Materials:
e.g. B16.5, B16.47, B16.9, B16.20, B16.25, B16.34, B36.10M, B36.19M

Ø ASTM Code replated to

Piping Materials:
e.g. A106, A216, A217, A333, A336, A420, A691, A694, A790

Ø API Standards:
e.g. API RP 14E, API 5L, API 6D, API 594, API 600, API 602, API 617, API 618,

Ø NORSOK Standards:
L-001 to L-005, M-004, M-630, M-650, R-002

Ø MSS Standards:
SP 25, SP 43, SP 44, SP 55, SP 67, SP 75, SP 80, SP 83, SP 97

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Ø The degree of Master of Engineering

Ø Well written and spoken english with addtional proficency in Japanese has an advantage.


Ø At least 8 years of experiences as Piping Engineer responsible for piping engineering, equipment layout, piping arrangement and/or piping material engineering in field in Process, Chemical, Power Plant Projects.

At least 4 years experiences as Piping Material Engineer responsible for piping material design, and piping material procurement work upstream in field in Process, Chemical, Power Plant Projects.


Ø At least 3 Process Plant project experiences as Piping Engineer, 3 EPC project experiences as Piping Material Engineer, and 1 FPSO project experience as Piping Material Engineer.

Ø Have experience of piping material design and procurement work for all components listed below

Ø Pipes/Flanges/Fittings of CS, SS, LAS, and Nickel Alloy.

Ø Valves (Forged, Casting) including MOV

Ø Bolts & Nuts

Ø Gaskets

Ø Piping Special Components including Expansion Bellows, Strainers, Steam Traps, and Flexible Hoses.

Ø Piping Support Materials including Spring Support, and Cold Shoes.

Ø At least 2 experience of valve vendor shop survey including foundry review in Process Plant Project.

Ø Have experience of generating Piping Mate
