Description

The Executive will work with the ED to plan and ensure smooth implementation of appropriate and adequate training, learning and personal development programmes for the residents.

She will use social media to broadcast, advocate, and create awareness of The Turning Point's (TTP) cause.

She is also responsible for the recruitment, training and retention of volunteers to assist The TTP to run events and programmes.

The incumbent is expected to work from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on weekdays.

She is expected to work mainly within an office environment, although in special instances she may be required to attend to organisational events or meetings, indoors or outdoors, during non-office hours over weekdays, weekends, or public holidays.

Programme Management

  • Secretariat and liaison person for the Programme Committee
  • Support ED in reviewing the alignment of programmes to objectives
  • Support ED in reviewing effectiveness of programmes
  • Establish links and partnerships with relevant agencies to determine programme requirements and relevance
  • Identify upcoming trends that might affect programme's success
  • Follow best practices and new methodologies aimed at enhancing programme impact
  • Follow service framework for programme work plans, resource requirement and budgeting
Communication & Social Media Management

  • Work with ED to develop original content for the organisation's official website as well as social media pages on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and other relevant media platforms
  • Design publicity campaigns for various programmes
  • Monitor audience interactions and other activity on the organisation's official website and other social media pages
  • Create awareness of TTP's events and programmes through posting regular updates on the website and other social media pages
Volunteer Management

  • Attend to enquiries from members of the public interested in volunteering with the organisation
  • Interview interested parties to assess their suitability, readiness and availability to join TTP as volunteers
  • Manage volunteer recruitment channels and database
  • Conduct volunteer orientations to induct volunteers and manage expectations
  • Leverage on volunteer skills and abilities for the planning and organising of skillsbased workshops for TTP's residents
  • Develop strategies and applicable programmes for retention of volunteers
  • Develop and update the Volunteer Management Manual
Other Ad-hoc duties

  • Provide support in other organisational community outreach activities such as roadshows and fundraising events

Experience:


  • Experience in managing social media platforms
  • Some experience in Salesforce platform or other volunteer management system

Other Requirements:


  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Able to navigate and manage social media platforms
  • Strong volunteer management and event management skills
  • Strong communications and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work well independently or in a team
  • Strong organisational and planning skills
  • Comfortable working in a halfway house
