Shipping Operations Manager - Singapore - MANSEL PTE. LTD.

Description

Responsible for day-to-day operations of allocated ships including liaison with the Marine and Technical Superintendents, communicating with customers, Head owners, masters, ship managers, agents and bunker suppliers.

• Manage delivery/ redelivery notices, hires, final hire statements and reconciliations for Time Charters and any other charter party related matters with owners.
• Timely and accurate prefixture support to Chartering department for all voy fixtures (this includes questionnaires, loadable, other warranties etc)
• Be able to prepare and advise masters of their voyage fixture instructions, and cargo handling requirements under the charter party terms.
• Review stowage plans to ensure nominated quantities are met and freight is optimised
• Manage the supply and consumption of correct grades of l bunkers.
• Manage the insurance and security requirements for the voyage.
• Ensure fulfilment of company's obligations under the charter party with regard to the conduct of the voyage which includes but is not limited to general routeing, weather routeing, speed, performance, consumptions, tank preparation, slops disposal, cargo heating etc.
• Appoint port agents and review DA with assistance of DA Management provider
• Ensure all voyage related reporting requirements are carried out in good time (eg ENOA, AMS, EU CAD, Canadian ACD etc).
• Monitor the Oil Major and USCG approval status of assigned vessels to ensure Owners carry out their obligations under the time charter to keep the vessels adequately approved at all time.
• Ensure that freights and other rebillable costs (including but not limited to shifting costs, interim port costs, additional premiums etc) are rebilled in good time for recovery.

• Minimum 7 years of onboard tanker vessel experience;
• Minimum 5 years of shore experience in commercial ship operations;
• Certificate of Competency (F.G.) chief mate or above
