What the role is

  • You will be attached to the Translation Department.

What you will be working on

  • Your roles include:
  • To assist with translation work for News, Views and Buzz, as well as public comms materials such as TV/radio scripts, infobot, infographics, polls, etc
  • To assist with National Translation Committee (NTC) initiatives, such as: publicity and outreach efforts for Translation Talent Development Scheme and MCI Information Service (Translation) Scholarship; organising translation workshops for students/teachers; translation technology projects (e.g. development and publicity of the SG Translate Together Web Portal, systems testing for translation management system); administering the Citizen Translators and organising related activities and projects

Note:
Interns will be assigned to NTC projects based on their aptitude and interests.


What we are looking for

  • Good language and translation standards in English and Mother Tongue
  • Good knowledge of current affairs
  • Good time management skills
  • Able to multitask
  • Good project management skills
  • Knowledge of video editing, graphic design, integrated marketing communications, event management and/or campaign management
  • Knowledge of using translation management systems and/or Singapore Sign Language would be beneficial but not compulsory
