    Energy & Sustainability Manager, Singapore & Southeast Asia and Pacific

Within this decarbonization approach, operational efficiency and energy management is the first step.

    CBRE's Global Workplace Solutions (GWS) creates value, develops workplace strategies, and improves business outcomes for occupiers of commercial real estate through our primary services—including facilities management, advisory and transactions, project management, and more. Within our facilities management business is our global Energy & Sustainability team, working with our clients to achieve outcomes such as optimized energy spend, lower total cost of ownership, and reduced carbon emissions.

    This role will work with our Enterprise multinational clients across various industries and sectors, dedicated client account teams, dedicated Energy & Sustainability account experts, and GWS leadership to identify, develop, and secure approval for energy and sustainability solutions and initiatives to achieve the above outcomes for our client portfolios. The main purpose of this position is to be able to independently conduct on-site sustainability audits (ASHRAE, Decarbonization, etc.) and produce recommendation reports for clients and clearly articulate results, outcomes, and tangible next steps to help clients realize sustainability benefits and values.

    Based in Singapore, the ideal candidate will have a blend of technical skills, communication skills, client management, energy efficiency, and sustainability/ESG subject matter expertise. This person will be a proven self-starter with the ability and experience to turn loosely-defined opportunities into compelling business cases and solutions, as well as a leader within the field of energy management and a valuable consultant to colleagues and clients. The ideal candidate will have the proactive aptitude to demonstrate him/herself as a key proven expert in the energy & sustainability field for colleagues and clients to go to for expert insights and industry best practices.

    This person will be based in Singapore and for the majority of time, remotely cover the Pacific and other Southeast Asia countries, with the exception of traveling for business needs and on-site assignments such as auditing.

    Essential Duties And Responsibilities

    • Perform energy & sustainability assessments (both on-site and remote) of client portfolios and develop impactful and scalable energy and carbon reduction initiatives. Independently develop energy and water conservation measures with savings and ROI calculations. Work with CBRE service lines and partners to develop comprehensive turkey solutions leverage CBRE suite of products and solutions, and be able to articulate value and proposals in front of client stakeholders.
    • Perform energy audits (i.e. ASHRAE Levels 1, 2, 3) and assessments and generate written reports as required by the defined scope of work, requirements, etc. Ability to leverage network of contractors/suppliers/vendors in support of conducting site audits and calculating of project/energy financials. Ability to calculate energy savings associated with Energy Conservation Measures (ECMs) and Water Conversation Measures (WCMs), Return on Investment (ROI) with estimated capital investments required. Ability to leverage Singapore BCA government standards on building energy efficiency and advise client stakeholders on recommended actions to meet regulatory compliance.
    • Perform decarbonization and sustainability assessments and provide written reports to evaluate existing portfolio's sustainability performance using methods such as carbon footprinting, etc., and identify sustainability roadmaps and strategies to achieve targets such as Net Zero, Carbon Neutrality, etc. Familiar with sustainability principles and frameworks such as UNGC, CDP, GRI, SASB, TCFD, etc. Familiarity with water optimization initiatives and waste management to increase recycling percentages.
    • Function as an energy and asset performance subject matter expert for client account teams and account- dedicated Energy and Sustainability Managers. Support these teams in the evaluation and development of innovative initiatives and technologies. Coordinate with client account teams and other CBRE teams to achieve business case approvals and provide support to Project Management teams on project implementation. There will be KPI's set for this role in terms of consultancy revenue and project revenue generation. Meeting and exceeding these KPI's along with other targets on a continuous annual basis will be the key determining factors of success.
    • Collaborate with the regional and global E&S team and client account-dedicated FM teams to develop and deploy the CBRE E&S products and services within existing and prospective client accounts. Support the integration of facilities management, capital planning, smart building analytics, and energy management within the E&S framework in-region.
    • Contribute to CBRE's internal library of energy solutions – go-to-market packages for energy solutions and innovative technologies intended for use by our client account-dedicated teams.
    • Support GWS sales leadership in the development of client and portfolio solutions for new pursuits and prospective clients, including analysis of portfolio data and site visits as required. May be asked to present solutions and proposals in front of senior client stakeholders and/or be able to develop proposal materials.
    • Stay current on and keep the broader GWS E&S team informed of the latest innovative technologies applicable to our client portfolios. Collaborate with peers on vetting new technologies and solutions for broader CBRE client deployment. Ideal candidate will be well-connected with the wider sustainability and ESG industry within Singapore, SEA, Pacific, and ideally across Asia Pacific and globally.
