Job Summary:
This position is responsible for leading the Singapore Lab business. The incumbent would help build and drive a customer centric organization to grow sales and profitability in Singapore.

This position has accountability and authority for both direct and distributor sales activities in the mentioned territory and to develop new business opportunities in accordance with global strategic business strategy.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop growth strategies for the key focus segments (Key and Strategic Partners Accounts, Academia & Healthcare, Industrial & Biotech and Resellers )in the Singapore market.
  • Create an enabling organisation structure both in the commercial as well as the support organisations to help deliver the strategy
  • Deliver on the sales, EBITDA and working capital target by creating, planning, tracking and execution mechanisms
  • Attract, hire, develop and retain the best possible team ensuring that there is an outstanding group of employees. Build a strong leadership bench strength in this strategic market
  • Leverage Avantor's extensive portfolio of 7 million SKUs to penetrate key accounts and deliver end to end workflow support for customer segments
  • Ensure that Avantor's culture and values are embedded in the way we interact internally as well as with our various external stakeholders customers, vendors, government and community
  • Set and deploy company vision, mission and Avantor Business System for Singapore.
  • Foster an environment that stimulates open communication, creativity, imagination and creates team spirit that solves problems and builds the business.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in science related fields
  • Preferably 5 years of sales leadership experience in an MNC environment
  • Strong fluency in chemistry or related Science degree is preferred

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Strong people and process management with a proven track record of growing sales, achieving targets and developing leaders
  • Solution selling, negotiations skills, managing major accounts
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong business acumen and analytical capabilities
