Design Engineer - Singapore - PRIME STRUCTURES ENGINEERING PTE LTD
Description
Responsibilities:
- Create design calculations according to stakeholders' and authorities' requirements
- Liaise with client, consultants, main contractor and subcontractor in design works
- Provide value engineering proposals during tender and ongoing projects
- Coordinate and assist the project team regarding on site works
- Ensure site works are according to the design calculations
- Comply with relevant design code(s) and authorities' requirements in Singapore
- Check through shop drawings and ensure drawings are according to the design calculation
- Submit calculations and necessary submissions to BCA and relevant authorities in order to get approval on time
- Prepare Asbuilt drawings/calculation for submission to the relevant authorities
Requirements:
- Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering
- Minimum 3 years Experience in Façade Design/Engineering, Curtain Wall & Aluminium Cladding
- Good sketching skills and ability to communicate thoughts and technical ideas consisely
- Familar with Singapore and International Standard Design Code and authorities requirements
- Good communication skills essential for teambased working.
- Highly motivated, proactive and willing to take on new challenges
- Good time management habits and ability to multitask
- Core interest in the façade industry with emphasis on detailing and engineering
- Analytical problem solving
- Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD and Staadpro
