Description
Performs tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:

  • Responsible for the quality and regulatory compliance of products manufactured at Suppliers and External Manufacturers.
  • Participate in new product development team activities in the development and qualification of suppliers.
  • Conduct Supplier Qualification and ensure phases are completed adequately including areas in planning, selection of potential supplier, supplier evaluation and acceptance and other activities as needed.
  • Conduct annual supplier quality system audits to ensure suppliers are in compliance to Celestica's Quality Management System requirements, ISO requirements, FDA requirements and GMP requirements.
  • Support teams to investigate quality issues (Failure investigations) to resolve complaints, non conforming products and CAPA.
  • Initiate Supplier Corrective and Preventative Action reports and perform efficacy follow up.
  • Participate and collaborate with Supply chain, Production, Program Management and Engineering to identify potential areas of process variability, address root causes and implement improvements.
  • Track and drive supplier improvement to meet factory and customers' quality expectation.
  • Manage quality goal and metrices to measure success of quality control / improvement processes.
  • Conduct parts qualification/certification through first article inspection.
  • Familiar with APQP and PPAP Tools.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced, dynamic environment with shifting and competing priorities.
  • Ability to travel as needed.

Requirements:


  • Bachelor's Degree in related disciplines
  • 2 to 4 years of relevant work experience
  • Knowledge of quality tools, ISO and IPC standards and processes
  • Knowledge of software as used in generating reports capturing data & presenting data in an understandable format
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes Understand quality tools such as FMEA, PMP, SPC, 8D methodology, etc.
  • Understand Six Sigma and Lean Kaizen.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the business unit and how decisions impact customer satisfaction product quality ,ontime delivery and profitability of the unit
  • Ability to effectively communicate with a wide variety of internal and external customers
