Wilhelmsen Ships Service (WSS) is looking for a Commercial Manager - Maintenance Solutions

The role of Commercial Manager is to drive the commercial agenda for our maintenance solutions business.

In this role you will optimize and develop the Refrigerants, Welding and Gases, Cleaning and Assets commercial models using data as well as input from the our global network.

You will design the Cylinder fee & deposit models, as well as maintain our global refrigerant pricing regime.

You will work in close collaboration with respective Business Directors to drive commercial growth ensuring profitability for our maintenance solutions business.


Who you will work with:


The Commercial Manager reports to the VP Maintenance Solutions of Wilhelmsen Ships Service, with a dotted line to the VP Pricing.

The Commercial Manager collaborates closely together with the Business Directors of the respective Maintenance Solutions, with the Head of Strategic Pricing and Analytics and Pricing organization, Sales organization, and the other departments.


What you will work on:

  • Maintain our Cylinder fee and deposit models as well as propose and implement new business offerings in collaboration with the Business Director Asset Management (new Business Model, services, flex deposits)
  • Drive the WSS spot pricing framework for the Refrigerants business in collaboration with the Business Director Refrigerants and Head of Strategic Pricing and Analytics
  • Benchmark our offerings (pricing, invoicing models, services, etc) vs comparable businesses including competitors in adjacent industries.
  • Support business offerings for bids, tenders, etc
  • Supporting decisions over waivers/discounts requests from customers
  • Collaborating closely with the pricing team on topics revolving around technical pricing as well as pricing analytics
  • Work on presentational material as needed
  • Proposing changes and driving improvements within the Maintenance Solutions' businesses.
  • Training the sales organization to understand our business offerings and the rationale of our choices.
  • Work closely with Asset Team for systems integration
  • Drive the digital product development and implementation (Dashboard) for both internal and external stakeholders.

What you need to succeed in the role:

  • Master's degree or equivalent
  • in business administration
  • Min. 3 years of experience in Strategies, Commercial Offerings and Project Management
  • Strong knowledge in Microsoft suite especially Excel and Power point
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
