**International Product & Sourcing Specialist

Product Development Innovation

Innovation:

  • Partner closely with the Founder and Branding Team, on concepting and design of new products.
  • Translate industry trends into viable product concepts to align with seasonal strategies along with developing the pipeline for future products and constantly be on the pulse of trends and innovation.
  • Create and develop innovative new product textures, shades, and aesthetics with high quality that are relevant to our brand DNA while meeting the global market's needs.
  • In partnership with the vendor laboratories, manage ongoing formula development, reformulations, and new product innovations in the skincare and devices category.
  • Recommend and research new ingredient stories, product textures by obtaining and partnering with Product Marketing on the latest innovations and information on formula/texture/ingredient.
  • Collaborate in internal communication with crossfunctional partners as it relates to product briefs, formula evaluation, copy and claims, artwork, and regulatory deliverables.
  • Collaborate with the Creative team on product concepts and design.
  • Define testing protocols with corresponding cross functional teams, including creating processes, tools and overseeing all product testing execution (safety, clinical and/or sensory).
  • Organize consumer studies
  • Travel to labs onsite (domestic and international Indonesia, Malaysia, Korea, Japan and China) for formula and device development.

Product Management:

  • Work closely with Product Procurement to manage day to day communication with manufactures to initiate, follow up and track development, submissions, and documents.
  • Responsible for all goods management for product launches and trade and retailer activities.
  • Conduct market trend analysis, monitor competitors' moves and plan proactive actions
  • Business and channel sales performance tracking and analysis, launch followup and action plan development.
  • Perform internal trend analysis to gain insights on the performance of existing products within the brand in order to ensure that the brand's product assortment is always relevant in meeting consumer needs.
**International Product Procurement


Responsibilities:


  • Devise and use fruitful sourcing strategies with Japanese, Korean, Malaysia, Indonesian and Chinese manufacturers
  • Discover profitable suppliers and initiate business and organization partnerships
  • Negotiate with external vendors to secure advantageous terms
  • Finalize purchase details of orders and deliveries
  • Examine and test existing contracts
  • Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness
  • Collaborate with key persons to ensure clarity of the specifications and expectations of the company
  • Foresee alterations in the comparative negotiating ability of suppliers and clients
  • Perform risk management for supply contracts and agreements
  • Control spend and build a culture of longterm saving on procurement costs
  • Manage costs vs selling price to strike a balance for the most suitable rate
  • Manage procurement needs of US and Asia business areas
**Product Regulatory and QC

Regulatory:

  • To oversee the regulatory approval and product registration for cosmetics and devices for local and regional offices with the support of local counterparts.
  • Liaise with the Korean, Malaysia, Indonesian, Japan and Singapore regulatory authority as well as overseas partners pertaining to regulatory affairs, including product registrations, variations to existing products and renewals.
  • Advise the local business divisions on regulatory and guideline requirements pertaining to their respective products.
  • Provide new product registration and license renewal progress updates on a regular basis.
  • Provide guidance and direction to relevant parties (eg, packaging design team and advertising team) on local regulatory requirements for product label change, manufacturing change, facility change, product line extension, shelf life and changes to technical specification of devices.
  • Support and maintain compliance to the quality standards of the local office.
  • Management and tracking flow of product registration in all countries to ensure timely registration.

QC:

  • Perform regular quality assessments on all incoming materials from vendors and outgoing products for delivery.
  • Resolve qualityrelated issues between all parties involved (ie. supplier and/or customer) in a timely manner.
  • Keeping inventory updates of materials, documents, and data to meet GMP standards.
  • Approve all finished products by confirming specifications and conducting required tests.
  • Return products for rework if needed and complete documentation to confirm rework.
  • Document and update inspection results.
  • Devise sampling procedures and directions for recording and reporting quality data.
  • Investigate customer complaints and nonconformance issues.
