    Roles & Responsibilities

    We are looking for a candidate to start in January 2025.

    Main Purpose of this Role:

    i) Working with the Principal and other Vice-Principals to lead Teaching and Learning, Professional Growth, and Continuous Professional Development.

    Primary Goals:

    All team members must uphold and promote School values: faith, service, community, respect, and excellence.

    Teaching and Learning (T&L)

    • Lead teaching and learning school-wide
    • Ensure high-quality teaching and learning for all students
    • Evaluate teaching and learning quality in all areas

    Performance Management (PM)

    • Develop and oversee an effective PM process
    • Implement and monitor the PM system
    • Evaluate PM's effectiveness and recommend improvements

    Continuous Professional Development (CPD)

    • Establish a CPD policy aligned with the School Improvement Plan
    • Lead CPD activities, including identifying training needs and monitoring costs
    • Assess the effectiveness of CPD initiatives

    Job Summary:

    Strategic Leadership

    • Lead the school's vision for teaching and learning excellence
    • Review Teaching and Learning policies biannually
    • Develop annual Teaching and Learning improvement plans
    • Organize staff training, induction, and transition programs
    • Manage Professional Growth activities
    • Supervise Professional Coaching and Mentors programs
    • Oversee Professional Support processes
    • Lead school planning days
    • Participate in accreditation processes

    Curriculum Development

    • Promote collaborative planning within departments
    • Lead Teaching and Learning initiatives
    • Ensure curriculum documents meet objectives
    • Utilize feedback for CPD focus areas
    • Coordinate subject-based CPD
    • Facilitate internal training opportunities

    People and Relationship Management

    • Ensure diverse teaching styles to develop independent learners
    • Recognize excellence and address poor teaching quality
    • Establish a Professional Growth review committee
    • Ensure staff readiness for PG processes
    • Support subject-based professional targets
    • Collaborate with various departments for CPD

    Self-Evaluation

    • Monitor teaching and learning effectiveness
    • Contribute to staff development audits
    • Review PG processes and provide feedback
    • Conduct staff and student surveys
    • Identify areas for improvement

    Resource Management

    • Manage the school's CPD budget effectively

    Communication

    • Prepare PG summaries for the Principal
    • Participate in professional networks

    Student Leadership

    • Involve students in evaluating teaching and learning
