Job Summary:


As the Operations Head for our global business, reporting directly to the Chief Operations Officer, you will be responsible for overseeing our Data Center Operations and Critical Facilities team in APAC.

Your main objective will be to ensure the highest standards of availability and customer experience.


Job Responsibilities:


Your duties will include effectively managing the 24x7 day-to-day Data Center Operations, leading, guiding and training the local team to ensure standardization, and alignment with our policies, processes and procedures.

You will also be required to implement initiatives that enable the team to achieve continuous improvement of maintenance practices and procedures, to increase productivity, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.


You will be expected to strategize and lead the department towards optimization and digitalization, deploying data analytics to improve the DCs' resiliencies and efficiencies.

Additionally, you will ensure cost-effective utilization of manpower and resources to support all projects completed within agreed timelines to meet financial targets and customer expectations.

Overseeing on the ground incident response, problem resolution, and change management to support high-quality customer experience is also part of the job.

As the Operations Head, you will ensure compliance of all day-to-day operations with local legislations and requirements.

Establish and track against KPIs, SLAs, and metrics (including performance, capacity, availability, budget), analyze KPIs, SLAs, and OLAs to ensure that service and operational levels are met.

You will also be responsible for managing, reviewing, and approving OPEX and CAPEX budgets, spend, forecasting, vendor resourcing models, and reconciling the same.

Ensuring all security matters are managed in accordance with the company's Data Center Security Policy and Process.


Other duties include updating Top Management on the overall performance status and activities for the department, overseeing all new business take-downs with the investment team, supporting all Opex Modeling and Life Cycle Review, and supporting Technical due diligence together with the Design and Construction team.

You will also be expected to set up new country operations and support the COO in getting the new country operations off the ground.


Job Requirements:


You must have a Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, or an equivalent engineering discipline, and at least 10 years of relevant experience in a 24x7 critical infrastructure/DC/telco environment.

Familiarity with certification standards such as LEED Gold, ISO 20000/22301/27001, TIA 942, Uptime Institute Tier III, Green Mark, etc., is a requirement.

Strong experience in business partnering with various internal and external stakeholders in a regional setting is preferred.

You must possess the ability to continuously improve team capabilities and achieve business targets under the pressure of rapid change.


Other requirements include strong interpersonal and influencing skills, the ability to interact with team members across levels in achieving objectives, commercially driven with the ability to execute business strategies, preferably within the technology sector.

Exceptional verbal, written, and visual communication skills in English are a must. Analytical thinking with an innovative approach and strong complex problem-solving skills are essential. You must have proven stakeholder/vendor management skills and collaboration abilities with cross-functional teams.

Finally, you must be willing to travel between the Group of companies in APAC countries and have the grit and tenacity to work through ambiguity and unforeseen challenges.
