What you will do
This role is within the manufacturing organization of Amgen Singapore Manufacturing, on administrative working hours. The Specialist Manufacturing - Tech Lead provides technical support to the manufacturing execution team.

We offer a broad exposure to all key aspect of GMP manufacturing as well as tactical and strategic teamwork within ASM1 organization.


Main Responsibilities (but are not limited to):

  • Lead Valuable Ideas and Projects (VIP) Program to drive continuous improvement for Manufacturing Execution, including development of short and long range plans, execution and communication of plans to the broader manufacturing team
  • Change control ownership to drive continuous improvements
  • Provide oversight and support for MFG execution owned Minor deviations, which may include the need to collaborate with MFG, Quality, F&E, EH&S, PD, etc to address gaps or opportunities to ensure quality write ups and timely closure
  • Provide technical expertise for biologics upstream / downstream processes
  • Front and support internal and external audits related to manufacturing process
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex technical information with internal and external colleagues of varying organizational levels
  • Perform CAPA applicability assessments within core technical area
  • Ability to coach, mentor and/or cross train shift team within core technical areas
  • Any other duties as required by Manufacturing Leadership Team

What we expect of you:


Qualifications

  • Doctorate degree in Chemical Engineering or related technical field OR
  • Master's degree in Chemical Engineering or related technical field and 2 years of directly related experience OR
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related technical field and 4 years of directly related experience OR
  • Diploma in Chemical Engineering or related technical field and 8 years of directly related experience AND
  • 4+ years experience in GMP technical support/engineering or manufacturing support environment with at least 3 years experience in the Pharmaceutical or Biotechnology industries.
  • Experience in floor operations is preferred
  • Possess good level of technical knowledge of upstream or downstream processing with broad understanding of related disciplinary areas such as cell culture, harvest, chromatography, viral filtration, and UF/DF.
  • Ability to organize, analyze, and interpret technical data through trend analysis, forecasting, modeling, etc.
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex technical information with internal and external colleagues of varying organizational levels
in both presentation and technical writing forms
