Description

We are looking for an experienced and energetic Operations Executive (Tanker) for one of our global shipping clients. The ideal candidate would have at least 3 years of experiences operating tankers vessels and possesses excellent working attitude and has an appetite for continuous learning and development.

Responsibilities

This function is responsible for fulfilling the Charter Party requirements of the time charter/Voyage fixtures (as applicable), maintaining the company's reputation as a 'Shipper of Choice' and customer satisfaction while keeping Owner/ Manager related expenses within acceptable levels. A good knowledge of Charter party terms and conditions is mandatory.

· Read all messages pertaining to individual vessels and act as required.

· Monitor vessels movements and update DANAOS Operations Module.

· Archive all your vessel E-Mails on a regular basis using Voyage File.

· Responsible for executing voyage related activities starting from Pre–Fixture Planning stage to the Post–Fixture stage involving Claims and Demurrage submission.

SPOT VOYAGES

A)Pre-fixture

o Liaise with Chartering Officer in answering to Charterer's Queries.

o Send vessel's Q88, trading certificates and fill up questionnaires as required by Charterer's and send it tothem.

o Ask vessel for stowage plan and send it to charterer's after getting the same approved from theOperations Superintendent.

B)Vessel Fixed and Subjects Lifted

o Get the Fixture Recap from Chartering Officer and study the same along with the C/P and Rider Clauses.

o Forward the Fixture Recap to the vessel.

o Liaise with brokers to get the voyage orders and forward the same to Master after going through it and making sure that the same is in line with the Recap.

C)On Voyage Completion – Post Fixture

o Ensure all Cargo Documents have been received from the Agent and Master.

o Calculate Demurrage and Submit to Post Fixtures as required.

o Reimbursement of Claims from Charterer's if any.

o Prepare Voyage Result of vessel and submit to Operations Manager.

TIME CHARTER VOYAGES

D)Pre-Time Charter

o Liaise with Commercial for all pre-fixture queries and provide all Certificates, Questionnaires as required.

o Send C/P to Master.

o Ensure Delivery Notices are served on time.

E)During Time Charter

o Obtain necessary LOI(s) when required.

o Negotiate and appoint Agents for husbandry matters.

o Coordinate communication between parties involved in Charter.

o Ensure Time Charter hire is billed promptly.

o Also ensure Bunker ROB's and other items as per C/P are billed.

F)Prior Completion of Time Charter

o Ensure delivery notices are served in time.

OTHER DUTIES

· Update TIME-Bar for all your vessels.

· Appoint Owner's Agent as and when required.

· Liaise with Insurance Department as and when a vessel enters War Risk Area keeping them informed if the same in on Owners A/C or Charterer's A/C.

· Liaise with Security regarding embarkation and disembarkation of Security Guards.

· Arrange Weather Routing as and when required and after confirmation of Operations Superintendent.

· Appoint Pilot, Local Superintendent, Bunker Surveyor as and when required.

· Obtain LOI(s) from Charterer's.

· Initiate Freight Billing (To be done after departure from Load Port and as soon as discharge port is known).

Qualifications

· Degree holder and above.

· 3-5 years relevant working experience in shipping industry.

· Good communication skills – spoken and written English.

· Ability to work under pressure & an independent and team player.

· Willing to learn and has a sense of urgency.
