[What the role is]Career Advisor
[What you will be working on]
• Engage and assist RP students and Continuing Education and Training (CET) learners through RP's career services and programmes.
• Work with different stakeholders, including academic schools within RP, corporate offices, and industry partners to plan and organise career fairs and events.
• Organise and conduct further education and career talks/ workshops.
• Provide administrative support to Education and Career Coach (ECC) team at RP Career Centre.
• Conduct outreach to RP graduates and CET learners via various channels and ensure follow up for the purpose of providing optimal career advisory.
• Provide support to the projects and programmes, including preparing and disseminating communication materials.
• Manage websites and resources for graduating students and job seeking graduates.
• Connecting clients with employers, schools, and professional organizations, where applicable.
[What we are looking for]
• A passion for working with people, especially in guiding them on their further education and career pathways.
• At least 5 years of relevant work experience, preferably gained in the education or counselling sectors.
• An open and positive mindset. You should also be encouraging in nature, flexible and culturally sensitive.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and spoken).
• Strong collaborative and time management skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Tools e.g. Word, Excel and PowerPoint tools.
• Knowledgeable about the job market outlook to provide simple labour market insights as part of career advisory.
• Prior knowledge and experience in career counselling and coaching would be an advantage.
• Hands-on experience in digital marketing and production of digital marketing materials would be an advantage.
