DESIGNATION :
Enrolled Nurse (Day Care)


RESPONSIBILITIES


You will be responsible for providing basic nursing care and patient education under the supervision and direction of a register nurse.


Key responsibilities & duties:
Primary Responsibilities and Duties (80%)

  • Complies with approved standards of nursing practices
  • Assist in the admission and orientation of new clients
  • Check, monitor and record residents' vital sign
  • Maintains accurate documentation of care given
  • Adhere to infection control and prevention practices in day care activities
  • Assist in administer and document client medications accurately. Comply with safe medication practices
  • Observe changes in the residents health conditions and report these to the Register Nurse
  • Assist in supporting trained staff in medical emergencies or crisis situations
  • Ensure safe, comfort and good personal hygiene of the clients
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment at all times
  • Establish and maintain effective communication with all other health professionals, support staff, families and care providers
  • Conduct assessment and carry out individualized nursing care plan for the clients
  • Assist in procedures and treatments in accordance to protocol
  • Provide feedback on risk assessment and quality management activities
  • Assists the RN to supervise NA and care staff
  • Teach patients, caregivers and family members proper techniques in selfcare
  • Assist and support delivery of health promotion activities in the Centre
Secondary Responsibilities and duties (20%)

  • Participates in clinical service projects
  • Participates in infection control campaign activities.
  • Assumes additional responsibilities as assigned by RN, Nurse Manager
  • Participates in training and development of care staff

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Locally Trained National ITE Certificate in Nursing.
  • Foreign Trained Diploma/Degree in Nursing
  • Valid Practicing certificate issued by the SNB
  • Valid BCLs / AED certification
  • Minimum 23 years' Nursing experience / Geriatric Nursing
  • Strong sense of integrity
  • Possesses good interpersonal skills
