What the role is

What you will be working on

  • Define the future state Data and AI systems architecture and roadmaps.
  • Work with project teams to conceptualise and deliver Enterprisewide Data platforms and systems that leapfrog Home Team operations leveraging on Cloud technology

Scope includes:

  • Architecting solutions for Data preprocessing, feature engineering, and data integration for the purpose of Machine Learning
(ML)/ Deep Learning model development to address the diverse business needs for MHA.

  • Develop architectural blueprints and strategies for the current state, transition, and future state with approach that aligns with the overall MHA Data Strategy.
  • Identify and drive the development of Data Tech Stacks and support adoption to meet business objectives.
  • Providing Technical advice to the Enterprise Architecture teams and Solution Architects across different departments as the Subject Matter Expert on Data and AI matters.

What we are looking for

  • Degree (Bachelor, Masters or PhD) in a relevant discipline
  • Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science/Analytics, or related disciplines. Certification in Certified Data Management Professionals (CDMP) would be an added advantage.
  • Preferably possess 15 or more years of experience in Data Architecture, Data Engineering and Governance, Data Ecosystem implementation and data integration.
  • Minimum 10 years of previous management experience
  • Expert in defining building data & AI system architectures, and experience in facilitating discussions and get consensus with enterprise architects and solution architects.
  • Deep understanding of architecture concepts like Video Lake, Data Lakes, Data Lakehouse, Data Mesh and operations like DataOps and MLOps.
  • Ability to influence the architecture decisions to solve for the business problems/needs.
  • Experience in Cloud and technologies such as Azure storage, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Azure ML, PowerBI, Purview. Strong knowledge of cloud services such as data pipelines, data management, data streaming, and data analytics.
  • Familiar with best practices and current trends on technologies and solutions related to cloud data offerings, data frameworks/methodology and data governance and security.
  • Knowledge of onprem and cloud data store and database solutions, including Relational and NoSQL and platforms (e.g. Cassandra, Elastic, PostGres, COSMOS, MS SQL, Azure Blob, Azure Data Lake Gen 2).
  • Knowledge in opensource data technologies and the Hadoop ecosystem
  • Spark, Python, Hive, HDFS, Kafka, etc.
  • Experience in defining integration patterns, standards and best practices, familiar with API, microservice, and integration concepts and technologies, such as REST, SOAP, JSON, XML, message queues, and integration patterns/frameworks.
  • Strong communication and people skills with proven experience in leading the teams, mentoring team members.
  • Able to work both independently and in teams, and across institutional boundaries.
