Roles & ResponsibilitiesJob Description
During School Term
· Assist teachers to maintain discipline in class – (Classroom Management).
· Supervise and manage detention class (Responsibility In Action) students in school during afternoons (or morning when required) from Monday to Friday.
· Assist Discipline Master [DM] and Operations Manager [OM] in handling and managing disciplinary cases.
· Assist in managing student movement and behavior during internal and National exams.
· Help detain/ counsel students outside General Office or any specified location until DM or DC member is available.
· Patrol school premises before, during and after change of periods.
· Assist in patrolling nearby shops and shopping centre in managing students' misbehavior outside school after curriculum hours or during school holidays.
· Assist in patrolling school premises and surrounding vicinity.
· Assist in maintaining student discipline during school functions and activities e.g. Speech Day, CCA orientation, Post Exam Activities, Police,CNB or SS Talk, Smoking Cessation Programme.
· To analyse Discipline data such as Latecoming/Truancy and identify At Risk students for upstream intervention.
· Support administrative/operations' duties such as fault reporting and asset/store management during days when discipline duties are not required.
· Any other administrative/ operation duties as assigned by Principal, Vice-Principals, Discipline Master, Administration Manager and Operations Managers
During School Holidays
· Assist in maintaining student discipline during school functions and activities.
· Assist in managing students during Term Breaks, June and November/December Holidays.
· Assist in managing students during November Holidays Sec 3 Bridging Programme or similar programmes.
· Assist teachers in conducting Home Visits.
· Assist Discipline Master [DM] and Operations Manager [OM] in handling and managing disciplinary cases.
· Assist in patrolling school premises and surrounding vicinity.
· Assist in managing students during release of N and O Levels results.
· Assist in managing new students and parents during Sec 1 registration.
· Support administrative/operations' duties such as fault reporting and asset/store management.
· Any other administrative/ operation duties as assigned by Principal, Vice-Principals, Discipline Master, Administration Manager and Operations Managers.
Requirements
· Preferably at least a GCE 'O' Level Certificate or its equivalent
· At least 2 years of relevant knowledge and experience in handling teenagers in school context is preferred
· Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel)
· Qualities needed:
Communicates well in English
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Able to work independently
Able to work well as a team
Working hours
· Mondays to Thursdays: 1.00pm to 6.00pm, inclusive of 0.5hr tea break
· Fridays and school holidays: 8.00am to 1.00pm, inclusive of 0.5hr tea break
· Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidays

· Contract Period: From 1 July 2024 to 30 June 2025
