Responsibilities

• Provides business with day-to-day stable, and optimally designed, tested and implemented database environment that allows continued growth of our business partner's globally
• Ensure that all databases environments are deployed, maintained and managed via proactive monitoring of performance and capacity planning
• Interface with application development /support teams on production/development issues to ensure that all database related issues are resolved to completion and business partner's satisfaction.
• Maintain, enhance and ensure complete adherence to RBC Global Database standards, policies and procedures with supporting documentation for DB.
• Implementation/Support of databases, storage structures, replication, Clusters, logical partitioning, and disaster recovery solutions
• Provide DBA support for enterprise monitoring, backup, alerting, and security compliance solutions for database servers.

Requirements

• 2+ years' experience in MongoDB
• 4+ years' Postgresql database installation, deployment and upgrade procedures, database performance tuning and Query optimization
• 5 years programming skill in Ansible, Python, Java or C/C++
• Develop reliability as a feature, Alerts optimization to product needs and building self-healing mechanism, Define SLI's/SLO and Error budgets, Incident Response, and conduct blameless postmortem/RCA
