    Roles & Responsibilities

    Major Responsibilities & Deliverables:

    · Supporting Lead HVAC Engineer in preparing Engineering Procedures and Engineering Execution Plan, Project Execution plan.

    · To manage and control all HVAC engineering works and assigned personnel to ensure that, the personnel perform proper works, the works complete with budget and schedule for PTSC M&C actual projects.

    · Lead a team of HVAC Engineers /Drafter is responsible for all engineering activities: Prepare, Check and approved Engineering Deliverables for HVAC scope of work to meet project milestone.

    · Performs FEED/Detailed Design Engineering includes Cooling load calculations, preparation of HVAC equipment datasheets, HVAC system specifications.

    · Supervise the HVAC Engineer and Designer for executing the above-mentioned activities to implement without fail in terms of quality and schedule.

    · Preparation of requisition, scope of inspection for HVAC equipment, vendor's bid technical evaluation including report, equipment data summary, review start-up and commissioning procedures, reviews documents from vendors.

    · Perform end to end commissioning of HVAC system includes AHU, FCU, Humidifier, Cold room and DX systems.

    · Perform end to end commissioning and qualification of clean rooms for pressurization zoning, HEPA filter testing and qualification, Air flow measurements and Environmental monitoring system.

    · Should be familiar with automation systems like Schneider Building management system and Emerson Delta-V system to make sure the programming control logic is programmed and working as per the requirement.

    · Prepare Site survey report, HVAC study report, HVAC design basis reports and various reports as necessary for projects.

    · Conduct engineering analysis and recommend technical solutions for HVAC engineering.

    · Cooperate with electrical engineers and relevant discipline to carry out engineering documents of HVAC package.

    · Perform studies and calculations for the installation or renovation of HVAC systems. Obtain required design data from existing systems or facilities to verify performance parameters and system compatibility.

    · Develop conceptual plans and final designs to correct deficiencies or satisfy project requirements as requested by Production, Maintenance, Environmental, Architectural, Facilities Project Management, Energy Management, and Lean Manufacturing departments.

    · Develop bid documents including project specifications and detailed engineering drawings utilizing AutoCAD. Follow department standards for document development and filing in document management system.

    · Coordinate the aspects of HVAC system design with other Engineering disciplines including Environmental, Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, and Architectural.

    · Obtain firm quotations from equipment vendors and contractors or estimate costs for the proposed installation or renovation work. Coordinate with Purchasing to procure HVAC equipment and system installation services.

    · Coordinate the efforts of installation technicians and mechanics engaged in HVAC system installation and modification to ensure a cost effective and timely completion. Commission new systems to ensure operational requirements are satisfied.

    · Technically assist Procurement Department in project bidding, procuring equipment, materials and services relating to HVAC discipline.

    · Establish contact with client, client' third parties, Consultant Engineering company to ensure their requirements are understood and communicated to all.

    · Other tasks: Tasks are applied once incurring or tasks are given as per the request from the Engineering Manager/ Project Manager, who oversees such a project.

    · Proficiency in BMS, DDC Controllers development and implementation for redundant system architectures on HVAC applications including chiller systems.

    · Knowledge of HVAC applications including Chiller Systems, Air Handling Units, Fan Coil units, Computer Room Air Handlers, Mechanical ventilation units, Sanitary and Plumbing, Fire Alarm, Low voltage, EPMS.

    · Contribute to overall Project risk analysis, assess technical risks and propose all necessary actions to avoid, mitigate or reduce its impacts. Pro-active in developing and implementing risk response strategies to minimize or remove risk.

    · Immediately alert on a possible non-technical feasibility as soon as identified and keep the stakeholders informed on the project happenings and provide necessary reporting to the respective Leads and management.

    Required Experience and Qualification:

    · At least Bachelor's degree in Mechanical engineering from a reputed university.

    · Qualification: Mechanical (HVAC) Engineer

    · Working experience: At least 10 years or more of postgraduate experience in the design of HVAC for commercial and industrial buildings of which at least 5 years' experience shall be in design and engineering of Pharmaceutical manufacturing plant.

    · English level: Fluent in use

    · Computer skills: Master in Microsoft Office (such as Word, Excel), emails and the Internet.

    · Proficiency in use of engineering software for design cooling/heating calculations, design air distribution and piping systems, size and select equipment, and develop control schemes, analysis, and installation of HVAC system.

    · Others: Proven technical competence in HVAC design works and ability to carry out safe and fit for purpose designs.

    · Knowledge of Control Philosophy: Emergency shutdown and emergency power philosophies, DCS interface, Field Instrumentation

    · Thorough knowledge of industry/international standards and ability to interpret the same for specific applications. Must be fully conversant with ASHRAE and other HVAC industrial standards CP13, DW142, SNACMA and Oil & Gas Engineering such as ISO, SOLAS, API, MODU.
