Role: Python Developer - 12 months Renewable contract

Experience: Minimum of 3 years

Location : East Coast

The overall objective of this BAU support role is to accurately prepare and report business/financial transactions, reports and statements in accordance with local regulatory guidelines.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Support, maintain and enhance ETL solution using Python.
• Develop and support data processing python programs based on different libraries like Pandas, numpy etc.
• Develop good understanding of existing data set, data model, existing solutions and be able to support and enhance them.
• Monitor scheduled jobs and reduce BAU monitoring efforts by automation.
• Preparation, including support of data loading and maintenance, of MAS reporting, statistics and surveys data and procedures to ensure compliance with the regulatory requirements (for e.g. MAS 610, MAS 640, MAS 649, etc.).
• Participate in automation of regulatory reporting processes.
• Support ad-hoc initiatives, projects.

Skills required:

• 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in a bank, financial services preferably
• Good understanding and hands-on experience in Python Shell, PySpark, Apache Spark, and AWS Glue; with experience in data pipeline and ETL project
• Ability to understand and write SQL
• Good understanding and hands-on experience in Shell scripting for automate tasks
• Able to troubleshoot issues on the generation of daily/monthly/bi-yearly/yearly reports
• Finance knowledge (preferably in regulatory reporting such as MAS610, MAS 649); knowledge and hands-on experience in Agile Reporter is a plus
• Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements
• Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills

Education:

• Bachelor's Degree/University degree or equivalent experience
