The Role:

Principal Responsibilities:

Responsible as the liaison personnel with vendors and maintaining a positive working relationship with vendors, as well as to negotiate product and shipping prices.
Responsible for developing and implementing visual strategy for displaying products including planograms, etc.
Responsible for understanding the features of products.
Tracking of inventories and supplies.
Developing and ensuring compliance to budget for all merchandising processes.
Supervise and ensure effectiveness of all merchandising activities.
Preparation of work roster, standard of procedure, hiring, training and providing job orientation to crew/store associates.
Supervising everyday operations, coordinating an efficient store management system and organising workflow.
Develop KPIs/targets and generate daily reports of store's activities/sales.

Secondary Responsibilities:

Create a staff duty roster and schedule casual crew and volunteers for general duties and specialised teams.
Create and implement the exhibition's "Standard of Procedure".
Implement a staff training programme to assist with the induction and motivation of all new hires in the exhibition.
Provide detailed and concise briefings prior to the start of each event day, ensuring the crew has all the information they require for their shift
Conduct daily postevent debriefs with all festival casual crew for event learning points.
Oversee the welfare of hired exhibition crew and volunteers, ensuring they receive appropriate meal breaks.
Assist in the management and monitor payroll costs of all casual staff including group transportation claims.
